Zoltán Almáshi is a renowned Ukrainian composer of the new generation, a cello player, the soloist of the national ensemble Kyiv Camerata and New Music of Ukraine, the founder of the Gulfstream festival, and a participant in such festivals as Kyiv Music Fest, Premieres of the Season, International Music of Youth Forum, Two Days and Two Nights of New Music, and Contrasts.

Mr. Almáshi is a member of the National Union of Composers of Ukraine. He is the winner of multiple prestigious national awards: Levko Revutsky award and Boris Lyatoshinsky award.

He graduated from the Lviv National Music Academy with a double major in cello (1998) and composition (1999) under the supervision of Yuri Laniuk. Later, Mr. Almáshi obtained his Ph.D. from the National Music Academy of Ukraine under the supervision of Yevhen Stankovych. His artistic journey includes solo and chamber orchestra concerts as well as instrumental chamber music performances.
